Six Mile Lake, Muskoka, is in my opinion one of the premier lakes in not only Southern Muskoka, but in Ontario. It's big enough to enjoy any water sport, have privacy and not be over crowded and small enough to feel like a community. The lake is clear and clean and so far very little zebra muscle activity. The Six Mile Lake Association has one of the best end of year Regattas, some families have been a part of it for decades. I know, for my family we have met, developed and enjoyed the benefits of life long friendships. I'm never more than a phone call away from a helping hand, or a glass of wine on a dock with a magnificent sun set.
The lake is fortunate enough to enjoy regulated water levels. This means that in the fall the lake is lowered significantly keeping our docks from being destroyed by the ice. It also means we enjoy the same water levels year after year. Something Georgian Bay'ers only dream of.
